Carrie Duran for Wolfeboro
August 27, 2020
Today, State Representative Candidate Carrie Duran launched an innovative effort to digitally connect with voters during a time of social distancing. Carrie is one of the pioneers of a new technology platform called Rep’d which is designed to help voters ask questions and give candidates a platform to provide video answers. In the absence of traditional campaign rallies, town halls, and door-knocking, Carrie is taking this opportunity to demonstrate her commitment to transparency and her dedication to hearing from voters.
“Being a candidate in 2020 means having to be creative with outreach to voters. Thanks to Mike and Dave Baumwoll, we now have an innovative way to approach campaigning and reach our voters. I can’t wait to hear from voters in my district and get started!”
Carrie is one of the first candidates in the nation to launch on the rep’d platform which has been developed by entrepreneurs (and brothers) Mike and David Baumwoll to create a streamlined, interactive digital conversation between voters and candidates. “In short, voters ask, candidates answer via video, and voters are notified once their question has been answered. In the process, we are hoping to elevate our democracy now and in the future,” said David Baumwoll.
Mike Baumwoll also added, “We are thrilled to be working with Carrie who has shown that she can make a real difference in her district. Carrie is committed to improving people’s lives in Wolfeboro, and we are excited to provide a platform to help her connect with voters.”
